| Detailed information. Weather: In Kiruna the midnight sun shines from the end of May to the middle of July but even through August the nights are light. Mosquitoes can be plentiful during certain times and in certain places. We supply a suitable repellent. Night temperatures can fall as low as +10°C. Clothing / Equipment: We recomend trekking boots with tall shafts and or gaiters. Bring at least one extra set of underwear. Long sleeved top and log trousers will needed as well as full waterproofs and sneakers or hiking sandals. Warm hat, gloves, mittens and a warm top. Food: Due the weight limitations we will bring mainly dried food on the trek. There will be possibilities of purchasing food along the way. Fitness: You need to be of good health and of normal fitness. Language: All guides are English speaking. We can arrange with a German-speaking guide during the trekking part of the trip. Terrain: During the trip you will be trekking through high alpine areas, barren mountians and through valleys with silver birches. Safety: All guides are trained in CPR and will at all times carry a first aid kit. |
